S T A T E M E N T

As an interdisciplinary artist with a background in political studies, I work through visual and material cues that reveal ambiguity in forms, languages, and modes of representation.

By employing repetition, interruption, and functional redundancies as strategies of inquiry, I examine how knowledge, memory, and gestures are constrained by their contexts. My practice combines painting, drawing, printmaking, stop-motion animation, and performative gestures to explore how artistic processes operate under limits rather than fully resolve them. Materials and techniques—whether traditional, ephemeral, or unconventional—are engaged for their capacity to expose gaps, tensions, and failures within inherited systems of knowledge.

I situate my work within political art understood as an ongoing negotiation between representation and history. Rather than stabilising archives or histories, I investigate how normative modes of knowing—through documents, iconic forms, and embodied gestures—produce absences, contradictions, and moments of untranslatability. My practice foregrounds these tensions, allowing the work to remain shaped by what cannot be fully recorded or resolved.
